Choosing the right team for window boarding in Bromley can feel like a gamble — but it doesn't have to be. We've spent years building a reputation across the local area based on three simple things: showing up when we say we will, doing the job properly the first time, and leaving your home cleaner than we found it. It's not complicated, but it's surprisingly rare.
Window boards (sills) frame your windows and provide a useful shelf space. We supply and fit timber and MDF window boards in a range of depths and profiles, precisely cut to fit your window reveals.

What We've Learned Working Across Bromley
Bromley's mix of Edwardian semis and 1930s detached homes have well-proportioned rooms that suit premium fitted furniture and panelling
Access & logistics: Bromley's residential streets often have permit-only parking. We arrange visitor permits in advance and discuss vehicle access for larger deliveries.
Seasonal tip: London clay beneath much of Bromley expands and contracts significantly with rainfall. This causes seasonal movement in period properties — we allow for this when fitting floors and hanging doors.
Common Considerations for Bromley Properties
- Edwardian and 1930s properties with picture rails and dado rails that need matching
- London clay soil causing seasonal movement that affects door frames and floorboards
- Basement conversions in larger properties requiring specialist damp-proofing knowledge
Bromley's position near the High Street and Glades shopping area gives it a distinctive character, and the homes here reflect that. We tailor our window boarding approach to suit — drawing on years of experience working in this exact area.

Our Proven Trim & Finishing Process
Every window boarding project we take on in Bromley follows the same clear sequence, so you always know what happens next:
- 1
Removal of Old Trim
Existing skirting or architrave is carefully removed and the wall surface is prepared for new fittings. Older Bromley properties often need extra care here, so we allow time for it.
- 2
Profile Selection
Select your preferred profile and height from our extensive range — or provide your own for us to fit. Older Bromley properties often need extra care here, so we allow time for it.
- 3
Precise Cutting
Every length is measured and cut to fit, with mitred corners on external angles and scribed joints on internal angles. This is where the detail of your window boarding in Bromley gets pinned down.
- 4
Secure Fixing
Trim is fixed securely to the wall using adhesive and pins, with consistent height and alignment throughout. On window boarding jobs in Bromley this is where most of the questions get answered.
- 5
Gap Filling & Finish
All gaps, nail holes, and joints are filled with decorator's caulk and filler, sanded, and left paint-ready. Materials are checked against the Bromley quote before this stage starts.
One team sees the window boarding work through in Bromley, so there is always someone accountable.
