Owner-occupiers usually want lasting quality and a finish they're proud to live with.
Rental kitchens need durable units, easy-clean worktops and quick turnarounds — we can typically fit a full kitchen in 5–7 days.
What We've Learned Working Across Purley
South Croydon, Purley, and Sanderstead have more traditional housing stock with period features
Access & logistics: Croydon's one-way systems and tram routes require careful navigation. We plan routes in advance and use side streets for larger vehicle access where possible.
Seasonal tip: Properties on the chalk downland at the south of the borough drain well but can experience cold snaps earlier than the lower-lying areas. We factor this into material acclimatisation times for flooring.
Common Considerations for Croydon Properties
- Mix of modern apartments (lightweight walls) and period houses (solid walls) requiring different approaches
- High-rise apartments with limited lift access for large materials like flooring and kitchen units
- Properties on chalk at Kenley and Coulsdon with different moisture characteristics than clay areas
From the streets around Lloyd Park through to the outlying areas of Purley, we've completed kitchen jobs in just about every kind of property. That breadth of experience translates directly into better advice and better results for your home.
Our Proven Kitchen Process
We keep kitchen fitting work in Purley predictable. These are the stages your job will go through:
- 1
Kitchen Measurement
We take precise measurements of your kitchen space, noting window positions, plumbing locations, and electrical points. Older Purley properties often need extra care here, so we allow time for it.
- 2
Design & Planning
We work with you on layout, unit selection, worktop choice, and appliance placement to maximise both storage and workspace. Materials are checked against the Purley quote before this stage starts.
- 3
Strip-Out & Preparation
The existing kitchen is carefully removed, walls are repaired, and plumbing and electrics are prepared for the new installation. On kitchen fitting jobs in Purley this is where most of the questions get answered.
- 4
Unit & Worktop Installation
Base units, wall units, and worktops are fitted with precision — including sink cut-outs, end panels, and plinths. This is where the detail of your kitchen fitting in Purley gets pinned down.
- 5
Finishing Touches
Handles, splashbacks, sealant, and final adjustments are completed. We leave your kitchen spotless and ready to use. Materials are checked against the Purley quote before this stage starts.
Any changes you ask for in Purley are priced and agreed before we carry them out.

Yes — we regularly fit kitchens from IKEA, Howdens, Wickes, Magnet, Wren, and online suppliers. We're experienced with all flat-pack and rigid cabinet systems.
What does a kitchen fitting quote for Purley include?
Labour, materials, fixings, waste removal and VAT where it applies, all itemised. We price Purley jobs after seeing the property, so the figure accounts for access, parking around CR8 and the condition of what is already there.
Will kitchen fitting suit an older property in Purley?
A lot of Purley housing is 1930s detached and Edwardian villa, where walls are rarely square and floors rarely level. We scribe and pack rather than force a fit, which is why kitchen fitting in older CR8 homes needs measuring on site rather than ordering off a plan.
