Serving Sellindge & Folkestone
If you're in Sellindge (CT20) or nearby — Folkestone (2mi), Hythe (5mi), Sandgate (7mi) — your decking installation project is well within our regular working area. The M20 J12 keeps logistics simple and quotes accurate.
Why Sellindge Properties Are Different
Seafront properties along the Leas and Sandgate require corrosion-resistant fixings and materials
Access & logistics: Folkestone's steep streets and one-way systems around the Old Town require careful delivery planning. We use smaller vehicles and arrange parking in advance for town centre properties.
Seasonal tip: The Channel coast around Folkestone and Hythe is one of the sunniest spots in the UK but also exposed to strong south-westerly winds. External features need to be built to withstand these conditions.
Common Considerations for Folkestone & Hythe Properties
- Coastal humidity and salt air affecting material choices for kitchens and bathrooms
- Victorian properties in the Creative Quarter with non-standard dimensions and ornate original features
- Flood zone considerations for properties on Romney Marsh affecting ground-level installations
Ask any of our customers near the M20 junction 13 what they value most about working with us, and you'll hear the same things: punctuality, fair pricing, and properly finished decking work. We don't believe those should be rare qualities — but in this trade, they often are.
Different Clients, Different Needs in Sellindge
Full renovators want one team across multiple trades with a single point of contact.

Step-by-Step: Our Decking Service
We keep decking installation work in Sellindge predictable. These are the stages your job will go through:
- 1
Garden Survey
We visit your garden, assess the ground conditions, and discuss your requirements — size, shape, levels, and material preference. We confirm this stage with you before moving on, every time in Sellindge.
- 2
Decking Design
We create a design including dimensions, board direction, step positions, and any additional features like lighting or balustrades. We confirm this stage with you before moving on, every time in Sellindge.
- 3
Ground Preparation
The area is cleared, levelled, and prepared with a weed membrane. Concrete pads or adjustable pedestals are positioned for the framework. Nothing at this stage is left to assumption on a Sellindge job.
- 4
Framework Construction
A strong, level joist framework is constructed from treated timber, with proper spacing and ventilation for long-term durability. You get a straight update at the end of this stage.
- 5
Board Laying
Decking boards are laid with consistent spacing, secured with screws or hidden clips, and trimmed neatly at all edges. We photograph this stage so you can see the work even if you are out.
- 6
Finishing & Extras
Steps, fascia boards, balustrades, and lighting are installed. The deck is cleaned and any staining or oiling is applied. We photograph this stage so you can see the work even if you are out.
We work around your household in Sellindge, with dust sheets down and the area left clean each day.
